Jacki + Steve 05.22.10

I'm grounded, I know. It has been over a week since Jacki and Steve's wedding and I am just now blogging it. Sorry kids! But their wedding was worth the wait, I promise! This was one of the most beautifully breathtaking outdoor ceremony locations I have ever seen. With an incredibly beautiful bride and groom... it was just plain perfect (ok maybe it was a touch hot outside!).  The rain stopped early enough so that everything dried up and the sun was shining.

The purples at the reception venue were gorgeous... but I am pretty partial to the stunning pie buffet. What? Pies can be stunning! There were about 20 different kinds of pie and the guests were totally in love with this dessert idea. I loved the head table decor. It was basically varying heights of cylinder vases with rocks, water, and a floating candle. So simple but it gave the table a really cool look when the light died down.

I will say this, the wedding guests were into partying! Tons of dancing and lots of cheering thru the evening and then on to the after party in the restaurant bar downstairs. It was a fantastic group of friends and family.

To the new Mr. and Mrs., it was a pleasure working with you and I hope that you keep in touch. I really enjoyed seeing the day unfold and I cannot wait to see the rest of your professional pictures.   ♥Shelly

Laura + Sean 05.07.10

This wedding was fantastic because it was simple and elegant. Laura and Sean are a really sweet laid back couple and the whole ambiance of the wedding reflected their personal style. And thank goodness they were so laid back because Mother Nature was not cooperating on their big day!! The ceremony was supposed to be outside on the gorgeous Addison Oaks grounds, but thunderstorms prevented it. We held out hope for as long as possible but finally we gave in and turned the reception area into the ceremony area. The ceremony was very dramatic with the thunder and lightning in the background with all the giant windows overlooking the grounds. The Addison Oaks staff is amazing and flipped the room back in all of 5 minutes. Unfortunately I didn't get many pictures of the completed room since we were so busy flipping, so I will leave those pictures to the professional photographer Heather Somes! Here are some details I really liked

Cupcake tree... I may or may not have been covered in frosting at one point.

The bride's beautiful bouquet. The calla lilies were amazing!

Beautiful single orchid in a small square vase with some black rocks... so simple but so pretty.

Laura's dad made a great slideshow with pictures from Laura and Sean the early years. It was played during dinner.

Thank you so much Laura and Sean for letting me be a part of your big day! You are a fantastic couple and I wish you all the happiness in the world.

Kristin + Bill 4.10.10 Preview

Kristin and Bill were the winners from the contest we held at the end of 2009..seems like this was forever ago..but April quickly came and we were able to finally kick off the wedding season with Kristin and Bill at the Inn at St. Johns! The weather was amazing and day could not have been any more beautiful. We were a part of a great vendor team that Kristin and Bill selected...which made the day even better!! I can't wait for the photos from the talented Mishelle from Bliss Photography, but for now you can have a preview of the few photos I took before the real fun began.
The flowers and hanging candles were breathtaking by The Parsonage
