Cindy + Eric 03.17.12

I think this wedding made me giddy all day long, and it wasn't just the perfect mid 70 degree weather in Michigan!  In the morning, there was a heavy blanket of fog covering the area, which was the ideal setting for a St. Patrick's Day Irish themed wedding!  Then the sun came out and the rest of the day was just glorious.

Cindy was such a wonderful bride to work with, I really enjoyed our meetings.  Her face lit up when she talked about Eric and he was so friendly and happy I can see why.  These two are such a sweet couple.  They really wanted to celebrate their wedding day with a super amazing feast provided by Joe's Gourmet Catering.  The six course small plates menu was so stunning that I think some of the guests fell silent when they were served.  Then all you could hear was mmmmmm!  They had lots of traditional fare including bangers & mash, fish & chips, and of course, corned beef.

I do want to mention that I also loved working with the other vendors.  Joe's staff was so professional and courteous.  The photographers Linda and Russ were easy going and clearly talented.  I cannot wait to see the photos!!  And Tom Kennedy is so skilled, I could have listened to him play until he ran out of breath.

Now, for some quick photos!  Don't forget to visit our Facebook page, I will post a little clip of Tom and his bagpipes.

Perfect sign to direct the guests

The bride made these wreaths with their initials

Totally coordinating ceremony programs

I adore this quaint chapel

Gorgeous cross

Tom the bagpiper is so talented!

The groom's garb was fantastic!

The guests were piped from the chapel to the reception...

...And after photos, so were the bride and groom.  Being led into your reception by a bagpiper makes for a very special grand entrance.  Big thanks to Tom for treating everyone to that!

Table assignments for the intimate gathering

Signature mat guestbook

The bride trimmed the linens with the same plaid ribbon which coordinated with the groom's kilt.  The effect was so cohesive and splendid!

Every little detail was well thought out and made the guests feel special

These adorable little vases doubled as seat assignments

I think these menus are so perfect, they make my paper loving heart melt.

The newlywed's cake and sweetheart table were very elegant

If I could have imagined a perfect St. Patrick's Day wedding, this would be it.  It was the ideal combination of food, family, and fun!  Thank you so much, Cindy and Eric, for allowing me the honor of witnessing such a memorable event.  I hope that you enjoy many years of wedded bliss.  You are such a fun couple, never stop making each other laugh!
