Courtney + David- S.D.E. by Epic Motion
For those of you who are unfamiliar, an S.D.E. is a same day edit by the videographer.... basically while filming the day they are also editing the footage to create a beautiful video to play at the reception. The guests can see what has already happened that day, including many moments they may have not been able to see otherwise.
Epic Motion may be one of the best in the business at creating such masterpieces. Ryan and his crew are super fun to work with and so professional. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a video that will take their breath away.
So.... check out Courtney + David's same day edit (you might want to grab some tissues first).... Go to Epic Motion's Blog or watch it below.http://epicmotion.com/blog/same-day-edit/courtney-davids-same-day-edit/

Courtney + David 10.23.10
Courtney and David ended up booking me only a couple weeks before their wedding. They had a ton of wonderful DIY details that they needed set up and realized they didn't want to do it themselves the morning of their wedding. I am so lucky that Jess from Mod4 sent them my way. This couple was so much fun. I totally "got" them and felt like I had known them for a long time. I was so excited that I was able to help them bring their vision to life on their wedding day.
The ceremony was held in a tent and I hung 40 tissue paper puffs and some strands of flowers that C+D made themselves. David had proposed to Courtney with a GIANT engagement ring (which is gorgeous... you will see it in Epic Motion's same day edit) and one of the groomsmen carried it down the aisle. After the ceremony the guests were treated to donuts and cider from the Franklin Cider Mill (who knew they delivered!?).
We headed up to Pontiac at a really cool venue called the Crofoot. The staff there is fantastic and I enjoyed working with them. Because C+D had made their own centerpieces, cocktail area decor, card box, escort cards, and even little cut out people for the bathrooms.... I had a lot to set up! It was so fun, I loved every second of it. The amount of DIY reminded me of my own wedding =) I heard a ton of guests commented on how wonderful it was that C+D had injected their personality into everything. Weddings like this are so much more personal and special.... it definitely gives guests (and vendors!) the warm fuzzies.
Check out some of the pictures I took below. I will upload some more to our Facebook albums.... plus Epic Motion and Mod4 will have their incredibly fabulous work up soon for you to enjoy.
Hanging flower strands at the ceremony
Programs
Gift table with DIY cardbox, tissue puffs, and "concert poster"
The amazing escort cards frames
The escort cards were made to look like tickets since the Crofoot is known for concerts and live acts
Cocktail area
The beautiful and delicious cake
Cute little bride and groom cutouts
Centerpieces which they also made themselves
View from the balcony
Balcony (one side) with stunning linens
The awesome giant engagement ring (I am guessing it is like an 18" diameter!)
Thank you Courtney and David for being such an incredible couple to work with. I truly enjoyed meeting you and I sincerely hope that we can stay in touch (plus I may have to stop by to meet your chickens!!). ♥♥Shelly

Jenny + Joel 10.02.10
If you want to see a couple that is in super mushy gushy adorable sweet love... that's Jenny and Joel. They were so ridiculously cute you couldn't help but grin. It didn't even matter that Michigan weather was trying to prevent the outdoor ceremony they had planned... we made it happen. The guests were able to hide out in the conservatory until the ceremony and then we went outside to the amazing English garden and braved the cold. I cannot wait to see the pro pictures from Mod4 because they are going to be amazing.
The reception was held at the Doubletree hotel. I have to say, the hotel staff was excellent. They were extremely friendly and accomodating. Plus, the food was delicious! The couple started off the evening with a beautiful choreographed first dance and the bridal party got the dance floor packed. Everyone had a great time with the super unique photo projector set up (combine a photobooth with a photo montage) provided by the couple's friend. Everyone had so much fun that they were planning to after party in the hotel bar.
Escort card table... on this really cool swirly copper topped table
Guestbook on the same table
Mmmmmmmm cake. The buttercream was 100% silky smooth
Jenny and Joel are really into hiking, so this cake topper was perfect
Simply elegant tablescape provided by the hotel
Head table arrangement
Half of the room, linens provided by the hotel
Head table and other half of the room
Card box with engagement pictures
Favor cards stating the couple had made a donation
Mums with tiny LED lights decorated the stairs where the bride and groom made their grand entrance
This lobby chandelier has nothing to do with the wedding, I just really liked it!
p.s. I bet it was destiny that you were in room 1002... crazy!
