"Company's Coming"

Metro Detroit Bride Magazine contacted us regarding an article they were writing entitled "Company's Coming". This article is about hosting out-of-town wedding guests and we provided input on hotel blocks. Check it out online (p. 54-55) or on newsstands now! We are very excited to be a part of the magazine again, thanks MDBM!

Catie + Steve 06.25.11

This couple is 100% lovable, they are just so darn cute.  They also might just win an award for "laid back couple of the year".  It was wonderful to work with them!  I think this might be the prettiest lakeside wedding I have ever seen, the view from the bride's parent's property was stunning.  I would catch myself staring off at the water for a second and I would smile.

I got to work with a few really fun vendors... Kerry from Mike Staff, the crew from Infinity Photobooth and of course Chuck the photographer were fantastic.  The string quartet did a great job for ceremony music.  If you are looking for an affordable live music option, I definitely recommend looking into your local high school or college music program for students.

The whole tone of the wedding was really warm and friendly... the guests were all excited to be there to celebrate with Catie and Steve.  This was definitely one of those weddings that you never stop grinning from start to finish.  Congrats C+S... you two make a perfect couple and I am so happy that I got to be there on your big day!

Details matter... the bride's mother actually painted her porch furniture to match the wedding colors!  It was adorable.  Grandma really loved sitting in the chair with her shrimp cocktail in hand!
Cocktail tables... with the groomsmen playing bocce ball pre-ceremony!

Simple can be perfect.  Escort card board.
Look at that handwriting!  Cards were just pinned to the board.
All the rentals from Crown were great
Love the overall look
And I could just stare at the draping for hours...
How's that for a perfect ceremony location?  And the weather was the best I have ever seen for an outdoor wedding!
View back down the aisle
Along the shore
How gorgeous is this?
Back down to the reception tent
Wonderful cupcakes... carrot, red velvet, and bumpy!
It was a struggle not to eat them all!
Cutest first dance ever.

Thanks again C+S for being such a calm, fun couple to work with!  I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness... and bocce =)   ♥Shelly
